Chapter 16

In this chapter Holden goes for a walk after breakfast and on that walk he thinks about Phoebe. He wants to talk to Phoebe very badly but he doesn't want his parents to find out that he's home. He goes to a record shop because he remembered a record that he always wanted to buy for her so he was finally going to do it. Holden went to the park because he remembered that she loved to roller skate and figured she'd be at the park. She wasn't there but he seen a girl that knew him and directed her to go towards the muesum. He got there and became depressed so he didn't go in.

This was a significant chapter because its the first time the little boy sang "If a body catch a body coming through the rye." I think if he would have seen Phoebe he would have been a much happier guy even though she isn't as old as he was.
