Nick Carraway is the main character in the first chapter he is only in his 20's. He lives in West Egg, New York. Nick drove over to East Egg to visit with his cousin Daisy. Daisy is married to Tom Buchannan and the 3 of them were goin to have supper. But then one of Daisy's friends Jordan Bakker was there. Jordan and Nick were talking but then things became awkward because the phone call that Tom recieved was from his "Girlfried" from New York City. After dinner Jordan and Nick leave but Nick didn't get away without Tom and Daisy making some comment about how he should go after Jordan.
This was very confusing. How did Jordan and Daisy meet? Is Nick comparing himself to Gatsby in the beginning?
