In chapter 4 Gatsby and Nick end up going out for lunch. While at lunch they were talking about the past and what kind of amazing things went on in Gatsby's life, but they were a lie. Nick caught on to this when Tom was talking about how he was from the midwest and Nick asked which city Gatsby said SanFransico. After lunch in New York City Nick see's Jordan. Jordan then goes to explain what her meeting was about with Gatsby. He wants Jordan to convince Nick to have a ruinion because Gatsby and Daisy were inlove with eachother before he got docked for war. Gastby said that before the war she was a beautiful lady and that they really liked eachother. But then Tom came into the picture and Daisy claimed that she drank herself to be numb before she married him. Since they've been married she hasn't cheated on him but Tom has cheated on her. So therefore Gastby wants Jordan to convince Nick to have a party so that he can get back together/see Daisy b/c he is afraid she will say no to just seeing him alone.
Why doesn't Tom and Daisy just get divorced if neither of them are happy?Does Daisy know that she is being cheated on?
