Chapter 2

In chapter 2 Tom wants Nick to meet his "Girlfriend" so he takes him on the train that goes from West Egg to New York City. But they make a stop in Ashland. Tom rushes Nick of the train and they go for a walk until they end up at a lady's house named Myrtl. Myrtl is Tom's girlfriend. The three of them rush back on the train to New York City. While getting Myrtl to the train he stops to talk to her husband Mr. Wilson and she makes up a lie why she has to go into town. When the arrived to New York City Tom baught Myrtl a puppy dog. Soon after they go to Myrtls sisters house Catherine to visit, while there another couple called the Mckees showed up. While at the apartment the group of people were drinking and after Myrtl kept saying Daisy's name Tom got fed up and punched her in the nose and broke it.
Why would Tom want Nick to see his girlfriend if Daisy is his cousin. Wouldn't Mr. Wilson catch on if this wasn't the first time they did this?
