Chapter 6

In the beginning of this chapter it was quiet confusing. Reporters showed up at Gatsby's house to do interviews on Gatsby to find out if all the rumors going around were true. He told the reporter that his name is James Gatz, and that he dropped out of college. He also went to tell the reporter that the next summer when he was working at Lake Supior he warned a rich guy named Dan Cody that there was a big storm coming. Grateful that he did this Dan took Gatsby in as his own personal assistant, and then thats how he got the name Jay Gatsby. When Cody died he left Gatsby $25000. It was weeks before Nick had seen Gatsby nor Daisy. After those weeks Nick decided to stop at Gatsbys house and was shocked to see that Tom was there having a drink with him. Awkwardly Gatsby tells Tom that he knows Daisy. This upset Tom and the following saturday Tom and Daisy went over there although Tom wasn't interested in the party he just kept his eye on Daisy and on what she was doing. Gatsby wishes that everything could go back to the past like it was when he was dating Daisy.
Will Tom end up hurting Gatsby because of this?
